Vitamin B12 Patch: What's in It and How to Use It
Share
Vitamin B12 is one of the most talked-about vitamins. In this article we explain what B12 is, where it occurs naturally – and what's in the Xaura X-12 patch.
What is vitamin B12?
Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is a water-soluble vitamin. It is found almost exclusively in animal foods – such as meat, fish, eggs and dairy products. Anyone following a vegan diet therefore needs to supplement B12 specifically; this is one of the few recommendations that professional bodies agree on.
What's in the Xaura X-12 patch?
- Vitamin B complex (B1, B3, B6, B7, B12)
- Folic acid
- Caffeine
- Green tea extract
The X-12 is a wellness product that you stick on – not a medicine and not a food supplement to be swallowed.
How to use it
- Choose a clean, dry and preferably hair-free area of skin – e.g. the shoulder, neck or upper arm.
- Peel off the protective film, apply the patch and press it on briefly.
- Remove after 24 hours.
- Apply the next patch to a different area of skin.
What to keep in mind
- X-12 contains caffeine – not for children or for pregnant or breastfeeding women. If you're sensitive to caffeine, don't wear it in the evening.
- Do not apply to irritated or broken skin; remove if itching or redness occurs.
- If you feel constantly tired or exhausted, or suspect a B12 deficiency, have it checked by a doctor. A deficiency can only be diagnosed with a blood test – and it belongs in medical care, not in an online shop.
