FAQ on Korean skincare

You have new K-Beauty products and wonder how best to use them? Here you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions.

✨ In what order do I apply the products?

The basic rule is: from thin to thick. Start with the Foam Cleanser: moisten your face with water, lather the cleanser in your hands, gently massage it in, then rinse. Next comes the toner with rice extract and gold, followed by serum and cream – for example the White Swan Brightening Cream, which is particularly suitable in the evening after cleansing. In the morning, the last step is always sunscreen. Explained in detail in Korean Skincare: What Order Do I Apply Everything In?

🌿 Are the products suitable for every skin type?

Most K-Beauty products are mildly formulated and suitable for many skin types. Still, every skin reacts differently: if you have sensitive skin or known allergies, test new products on a small area first (e.g. behind the ear) and introduce new products one at a time, not all at once.

🌟 What does a “whitening” cream do?

In Korean cosmetics, “whitening” means brightening: the cream isn't meant to change your natural skin tone, but to give you a more even-looking complexion – for example with dark spots or an uneven skin tone. Important: use sunscreen every day, otherwise spots can darken again.

🕐 Can I use the products every day?

Yes, cleansers, toners and creams are intended for daily use – usually morning and evening. Masks 1–2 times a week.

⏳ When will I see results?

You'll feel a fresh, clean skin sensation right after cleansing. Changes in your complexion take time: the skin's surface renews itself in about four weeks, so you should use a product regularly for at least that long before judging it. If spots appear for the first time or change, please have them checked by a doctor.
